The La Crosse Youth Symphony Orchestras has been a music education staple in the La Crosse community for decades. The Cappella Performing Arts Center is proud to offer our facilities at no charge to the LYSO as their primary rehearsal and performance space.

About The La Crosse Youth Symphony Orchestras
Since 1967, the La Crosse Youth Symphony Orchestras have provided opportunities for young musicians to grow, develop, and enhance the cultural environment of La Crosse. With over 100 performances through the lifetime of our organization and two full orchestras, we never stop looking for new ways to serve our community.
Philharmonic Orchestra
Our intermediate full orchestra specifically designed for the developing musician. The Philharmonic Orchestra consists of students from grade 5 all the way to grades 10 and 11. Student musicians benefit from learning to work with other dedicated students with repertoire meant to develop fundamental musicianship skills.
Italiano Orchestra
Our advanced full orchestra designed for maturing musicians. The Italiano Orchestra consists of students from grades 8 through 12. Student musicians enjoy ambitious repertoire combined with the social enrichment of collaborating with other serious and dedicated musicians.
