Scholarships For Boys & Girls Club Members
Providing Free After-School Voice & Music Lessons
The Cappella Performing Arts Center, in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater La Crosse and the La Crosse School District, is providing free after-school voice and music lessons for any Boys and Girls Club member.
Meet Our Music & Voice Teacher
Kim Shively, former choir director at Central High School, is our music / voice teacher. She has served as a music educator in:
- High school choir
- Middle school general music
- Show choir
- Private voice instruction
Kim also works as a recording artist and audio engineer with Choral Tracks.
Removing Barriers To Lessons
We also want to help gifted and talented children whose families can’t afford private lessons by offering scholarships. In addition, are working with local music education arts organizations to connect these gifted and talented children to organizations and teachers including:
- Reed Music Studios
- Leithold Music
- Onalaska Music Academy
- La Crosse Boychoir
- La Crosse Girlchoir
- La Crosse Youth Symphony Orchestra
- Private voice teachers
